Get Fit for Fall

Last week on the blog we covered meal prepping as key to losing weight, getting fit and creating healthy lifestyles. Nutrition and being on a healthy eating regimen are the first step to losing weight and keeping it off. So this week we are going to cover eating healthy on the go! We have a few recipes that are grab and go from your fridge along with a few of our favorite healthier options for when you are out and about.

A few easy items you can grab and go from home:

We love these tasty egg white muffins- low carb and last for a few days in the fridge, just pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute and you can eat them on the go.

Check out the full recipe here: Veggie Egg White Muffins

We love meal replacement shakes, they are the easiest thing ever. Just pour and mix! You normally can get high protein and low calorie. Our favorites are the Advocare Meal Replacement in the Chocolate Peanut Butter flavor!

Another easy item to keep at home our P3 Portable Protein snacks. You can either make your own with almonds, cheese squares and turkey or buy these pre-made ones.A few of our favorite places to stop when needing a quick but healthy bite to eat:

Starbucks has quite a few options a few of our favorites are the reduced fat turkey bacon sandwich, protein box or just a fresh cup of fruit

7-Eleven has stepped up their fresh healthy options as well. They have a wide variety of fresh packaged foods that you can just grab and go such as reduced fat turkey sandwich, fresh fruit, fresh salads and hard boiled eggs.

Chick-Fil-a has grilled nuggets, fresh fruit and yogurt. The buffalo dipping sauce is only 5 calories.

Pretty much any fast food place you go to you can order a Grilled Chicken Salad minus the cheese and croutons that add a bunch of extra calories opt for low fat dressings or oil based ones. Now we would recommend preparing and prepping a lot of your food at home so you know exactly what is going into them because pre-packaged foods do contain preservatives and lots of sodium. However if you’re out and a bout and you have to stop these are a few of your healthier options.
